The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) endured immense hardship and sorrow. Prophet Yaqub cried until he lost his sight from the grief of not knowing the fate of his beloved son Yusuf, peace be upon them both. Their stories offer us solace, inspiration, and hope that life’s trials are not an end.
Allah is with us, He hears our cries, and He has not abandoned us. The very fact that we resist the urge to act on suicidal thoughts out of reverence for Allah is a sign that He is still with us, maintaining our belief in Him, even through our despair.
