Know Allah Through His Names and Attributes

We know Allah is One, that there is none worthy of worship except Him. This is the testimony of our faith. To be muslim is to worship Allah alone. How can we worship Him to the best of our abilities if we don not know Him? Do we truly know our Lord? If we are being honest with ourselves most of us don’t. The good news is that, while we will never be able to fully comprehend the Majesty, Power and Grandeur of our Perfect Lord, we can get a better understanding of Him and learn who Allah is through the Names and Attributes of His He has shared with us.

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said,

“Allah has ninety-nine Names, one-hundred less one; and he who memorised them all by heart will enter Paradise.”

Sahih al-Bukhari 7392
